On the afternoon of May 22nd, the Party Member Congress of the School of Physics and Electronics of Shandong Normal University was held in the Shuhui Hall Lecture Hall of Changqing Lake Campus, where the new members of the Party Committee and the Discipline Inspection Commission were elected. Wei Xuejiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Minister of the Organization Department of the university, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. All the Party members of the college attended the meeting. Representatives of the democratic parties and non-party personages of the college were invited to attend the meeting as observers.

The conference kicked off with the solemn national anthem. Wei Xuejiang, on behalf of the Party Committee of the school, extended warm congratulations on the convening of this conference and fully affirmed the excellent achievements made by the Party Committee of the college in focusing on the goal of "Double First-Class" construction and building a new development pattern led by Party building, based on talents and driven by innovation. He pointed out that this round of leadership transition is an important practice to implement the general requirements for Party building in the new era and the Party's organizational line in the new era. All Party members should enhance their political stance, correctly exercise their rights, and work together to complete this election well. He also expressed high expectations for the new leadership of the Party Committee and the Discipline Inspection Commission that is about to be elected, hoping that the members of the leadership team will persist in studying political theory and professional knowledge to replenish the calcium of their spirit. Actively listen to the voices of teachers and students, unite their hearts, and effectively solve the urgent, difficult, worrying and pressing problems of teachers and students. With a down-to-earth and hardworking style, we will promote the high-quality development of all undertakings of the college and write a new chapter in its development.

Xie Deren, the Party Secretary of the School of Physics and Electronic Science, delivered a work report on behalf of the previous Party Committee, titled "Anchoring the Goal of Struggle and Gathering the Strength to Forge Ahead - Fully Embarking on a New Journey of High-Quality and Connotative Development of the School's Cause". Rich achievements and valuable experience have been made in aspects such as Party building, talent cultivation, faculty team building, scientific research innovation, discipline construction, exchanges and cooperation, and social services. Looking ahead, the college will continue to promote the in-depth integration of Party building and business operations. With the construction of high-level disciplines as the leading force, it will continuously enhance its political stance, proactively integrate into the overall development situation, accurately grasp the strategic orientation of the coordinated advancement of educational quality improvement, scientific and technological breakthroughs, and talent revitalization, and deeply align with the university's "Double First-Class" construction plan and the demands of regional economic and social development. Fully embark on a new journey of high-quality and connotative development of the college's cause.

The congress deliberated and approved the work reports of the Party Committee, the Discipline Inspection Commission, and the collection and use of Party fees since the last term change. It also elected the new committee and the Discipline Inspection Commission of the School of Physics and Electronic Science of Shandong Normal University.

After the Party members' congress, the new Party committee and the discipline Inspection commission of the college held their first plenary sessions respectively, electing the Party Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission secretary.
