On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Shandong Normal University, the School of Physics and Electronics held a grand "Unite to Celebrate the University Anniversary, Move Towards the Future" sports meeting for teachers and students at the Rain and Wind Track and field of Changqing Lake Campus on May 25th. Xie Deren, the Party Secretary of the college, Du Wei, the Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary, Xiu Xianwu, the Chairperson of the Trade Union, Fang Fang, the Secretary of the Youth League Committee and Director of the Student Affairs Office, counselors from all grades, and over 700 teachers and students of the college witnessed this sports event together.

Xie Deren declared the opening of the teacher-student sports meeting. Du Wei delivered the opening speech, encouraging the teachers and students to unite and cooperate on the sports field, and to strive tenaciously. He also urged them to take this opportunity to strengthen physical exercise and present a healthier body, a more vigorous posture and more outstanding achievements to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the school.

At the opening ceremony, the national flag guard team held the national flag high and entered the venue first. The referee formation and the 23 teams' formations passed by the podium in turn to be inspected. Each representative team marched in unison. Through highly creative performances and slogans, they demonstrated the positive and enterprising spirit of the students of the School of Physics and Electronics.

The wonderful cultural and sports performance activities were a major highlight of the opening ceremony of this sports meeting. The martial arts performance "Promoting Martial Arts to Cultivate the Soul and Educate People" was vigorous and fierce, with a heroic and vigorous appearance. The chorus "Love Each Other" is melodious and a tribute to our Alma mater. The cheerleading performance "Come on, Champion" was full of vigor and vitality, demonstrating the "enthusiastic, wonderful, fun and high-spirited" spirit of this sports meeting.

The referees and athlete representatives took oaths respectively, expressing their determination to carry forward the sports spirit of fairness, justice, unity and cooperation, and courage to strive, laying a solid foundation for the complete success of the sports meeting.

On the sports field, teachers and students competed on the same stage, fully demonstrating their talents. The competition in traditional events such as sprinting, high jump, long jump and shot put is fierce. The contestants strive to be the first and constantly break through themselves. The 4× 400-meter relay and other team events ignited the entire venue. Each representative team worked in unity and coordination, winning rounds of cheers. The fun competitions in the teaching staff group were equally exciting. Events such as "Teacher-Student tug-of-war" and "Ten-person Basketball Shooting" allowed the teachers to relax and enhance their friendship through sports. In the audience seats, the team was highly enthusiastic, with cheers and applause rising and falling one after another, demonstrating the strong cohesion of the college.

It is learned that this sports meeting adopted the format of "teachers and students competing together, undergraduate and postgraduate students integrating", highlighting the concept of "sports +". It covered all undergraduate and postgraduate teachers and students, with a total of 23 teams and over 700 athletes participating in the competition, setting a new record for the number of participants. The sports meeting includes 20 track and field competition events and 5 fun events. The competition events are rich and colorful and full of fun. Traditional track and field events are thrilling, while interesting and novel fun events allow every athlete to enjoy the pleasure of sports, feel the power of the team, and create a strong sports atmosphere. This sports meeting also specially set up the "Peach and Plum Affection" event for graduates and staff. Teachers and students participated in a series of friendly matches such as basketball, badminton and table tennis together.

Seventy-five years of vigor and vitality, the spark continues, and we embark on a new journey together. The successful holding of this sports meeting is not only a three-dimensional presentation of the college's educational achievements in the integration of the five aspects of education, but also a vivid footnote of responding to the educational concept of "health first" and serving the strategy of "building a sports power" through sports practice. Looking to the future, the college will continue to take scientific and technological innovation as its oar and the integration of sports and education as its sail, injecting vigorous impetus into the construction of high-level disciplines and jointly writing the glorious chapter of The Times of walking side by side with Shandong Normal University.
